포인트 프로젝트
포인트 프로젝트는 창작에서 장르 간에 해체와 융합 현상과 함께 생산 유통 소비가 압축되고 있는 21세기 현대미술의 한 단면을 확인하는 의미 있는 전시이다. 특히 비평을 통한 담론 생산에 있어서도 한 지역적 문화권이 가질 수밖에 없는 역사적 문화 적 배경의 한계에서 벗어나 비평가들의 교차 비평을 통한 미적 관점의 융합을 시도함으로서 새로운 비평 교류의 장을 시도한다.기능의 통섭 - 이번 포인트 프로젝트는 현대 예술에 있어서 창작과 매개, 향유의 기능을 하 는 기관들과 단체의 교섭과 확장을 시도하는 프로젝트이다. 창동 창작 스튜디오, 매개의 공간인 대안 공간 루프, 전시와 레지던시 프로그램 등 복합적인 기능과 함께 예술의 담론형성에 지속적인 역할들을 해왔던 AIT그룹(일본)과 교토아트센터는 공동으로 이번 프로젝트를 기획하며 이러한 대안적 시도를 할 것이다.지역의 통섭 - 이번 포인트 프로젝트는 일본과 한국을 오가며 순회전 형식으로 이루지며 한 국과 일본에 머무르고 있는 세계 각국의 작가들이 참여한다. 일본과 한국이라는 지역에서 이방인과 원주민의 다문화적 전시는 다지역의 통섭, 다민족, 다 장르의 통섭이 동시에 이루어지며 새로운 이미지를 우리에게 제시할 것이다. 담론의 통섭 - 이번 포인트 프로젝트는 참여 작가 선별과정에서부터 다양한 시각을 가진 평 론가들이 참여하는 민주적이고 유기적인 시스템을 시도한다. 또한 한국의 평론가들은 일본작가들을 일본의 평론가들은 한국작가들과 일대일 방식의 워크 숍을 통해 서로 간 교차 비평을 시도 한다. 이러한 교차 비평은 보다 확장되고 다양한 담론들을 만들어내며 지역적 한계를 벗어나 글로 벌 화된 새로운 비평의 장을 마련할 수 있다.
Point Project
Point Projectは、創作においてジャンル間に解体と融合現象と共に、生産・流通・消費の圧縮され ている21世紀現代美術の一断面を確認する、意味のある展示である。特に批評を通した談論生産 においても、一つの地域的文化圏が持たざるを得ない歴史的、文化的背景の限界から抜け出し、批評家達の交差 批評を通じた美的観点の融合を試みる事によって、新たな批評交流の場を試みる。機能の通渉 – 本Point Project展は、現代芸術において創作と媒介、共有の機能を果す機関と団 体の交渉と拡張を試みるプロジェクトである。チャンドン創作スタジオ、媒介の空間であるオルタ ネーティブ・スペースLOOP、展示とレジデンス・プログラム等複合的な機能と共に芸術の談論形成に 持続的役割を果たしてきたAITグループ(日本)と京都芸術センターは、共同で本プロジェクトを企画 し、このような代案的試みを行っていく。地域の通渉 – 本Point Project展は、日本と韓国を往来しながら巡廻展形式で行われ、韓国と日本 に滞在する世界各国の作家達が参加する。日本と韓国という地域で、異邦人と原地人の多文化的展示 は、多地域の通渉、多民族、多ジャンルの通渉が同時に成され、新しいイメージを我々に提示する。談論の通渉 – 本Point Project展は、参加作家の選抜過程から多様な視覚をもった評論家達が参与す る、民主的で有機的なシステムを試みる。又、韓国の評論家は日本作家を、日本の評論家は韓国作 家と一対一方式のワークショップを通し、互いの交差批評を試みる。このような交差批評は、より 拡張されて多様な談論を生み出し、地域的限界を抜け出しグローバル化された新たな批評の場を設け ることが出来る。
The Point Project
The Point Project is a meaningful exhibition organized to identify an aspect of 21st century contemporary art that has seen, with the consolidation of capitalism, boundaries between genres dissolve and new forms of art appear. With this exhibition, we hope to start a new chapter in the exchange of criticism by attempting to combine various aesthetic viewpoints together in order to break free from the historical and cultural limitations found within regional traditions of art.The Consilience of Each Function The Point Exhibition is an art show attempting exchanges with and the expansion of artistic institutions taking over the functions of creation, meditation, and enjoyment in contemporary art. Alternative Space Loop, the National Art Studio, Changdong, Korea, Curator Sumitomo Fumihiko from AIT and the Tokyo Art Center in Japan have joined resources to make this exhibition possible. They have all respectively taken on the role of forming discourses in the contemporary art world by holding exhibitions and managing residency programs.The Consilience of Each Region This exhibition takes the form of a traveling exhibition that will tour both Korea and Japan. Invited artists are from around the world and are currently residing in either Korea or Japan. Such multi-cultural exhibitions held in Korea and Japan will present newly created images as the consilience of multiple regions, nations, and genres forms to create a new paradigm for 21st century art.The Consilience of Each Discourse This exhibition attempts an organic, democratic system where art critics from various viewpoints have been involved in the selection of the participating artists. A one-to -one workshop will bring Korean art critics together with Japanese artists and Korean artists with Japanese art critics in an attempt to facilitate an exchange of new criticism between the two nationalities. Through this cross-examination of art, a more extensive and diversified set of discourse will be generated in order to break free from regional limitations and to prepare a new globalized platform for art criticism.
